Meandering Melodies

Belfast Bar Girl-

Northern Irish Pub! Here I am featured playing my favorite slow piece, Ashokan Farewell.

What better to way to celebrate Halloween than in front of an eerie castle in the motherland Ireland? Here I am playing Harvest Home, a an Irish crowd favorite.

Every Thursday evening this was my favorite gig- the Sunflower!

Controversy alert! This one is actually a Scottish tune (sorry Frank)… Swallowtail (filmed in my hometown in Ohio).

Busking!

Segovia’s Aqueduct (J. Ph. Rameau’s Gavotte)

The Writer’s Corner in Segovia (J. Ph. Rameau’s Gavotte)

Secret revealed: she’s a Teetotaler…

So, as a disclaimer, I’ve never ever had a single drop of alcohol. So, if you want to buy me a drink in the pub… I will gladly accept a coca cola or coffee to fuel my caffiene addiction.

Background: Segovia’s Castle (Of course! I mean I was by a castle, I was not going to lose this opportunity…) (“A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman)

So, you’re frugal and the stingy airplane only allows you to bring two bags. Of course one of them has to be the violin! (I may or may not have pretended to be pregnant and hid another bag under my shirt…) Anyways, there is so much more adventure in life when you bring along that musical companion. I played in bars, busked, held shows for friends, and even joined a Scottish fiddler group in Edinburgh. Music brings us all so much joy, I cannot imagine life without it.[Disclaimer: I do not identify as a professional violinist. I do teach lessons, but do not perform. So, sorry if my videos aren’t “perfect” you nuisances with perfect pitch. Enjoy these videos, they’re just for fun and to encourage others to busk!]

Fiddler on the Roof Moments

Yes, I climbed the roof just to play violin. Why not? (“A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman, featuring little Dani)
